“ALTTERRA” is part of one of Switzerland’s oldest and most prestigious winemaking houses — St. Jakobskellerei Schuler & Cie AG Schwyz — with a history spanning more than 300 years. The company combines their centuries-old expertise with the unique character of the Armenian terroir.

Our vineyards are located in the villages of Rind and Aghavnadzor in the Vayots Dzor region — the heart of Armenian winemaking — at an altitude of approximately 1200–1400 meters above sea level. The total vineyard area covers around 100 hectares, where endemic grape varieties such as Areni, Voskehat Tozot, Khatuni, Milagh, Jrjruk, White Areni, Chillar, and others are cultivated.

Remaining committed to a sustainable and responsible business approach, the company has transitioned to organic viticulture, with organic certification expected in 2026.

We also have our own winery, where state-of-the-art technologies, combined with the professionalism and intuition of the winemaker, make it possible to create wines that unite European innovation with Armenian traditions and spirit.
