MARAN WINERY

Winemaker

Avag Harutyunyan - Director

The origins of Maran date back to 1828-1830 when Maran and his family immigrated from Persia to the Vayots Dzor province of Armenia. They planted a vineyard and made the first wine. After the independence of Armenia in 1991, winemaker Avag Harutyunyan, the descendant of Maran, continued the family traditions and encapsulated Maran's heritage in Noravank, Bagratuni, Zarm, Parajanov, Malahi and Halde wines.
